Plague Development

I've added sound and more motion into it to make it refined and as realistic as possible. I recorded most of the sound myself but I got a few screams and yells from http://www.freesfx.co.uk/ which I found to be a really strong and reliable website for the kinds of sounds that I was after.

Plague development

First proper attempt at plague. It's very basic and doesn't have sound yet but it's a key point in my development as it has all the frames I think nessecary to tell the story. I still need to add an ending which would be the LAGUE turning in to the cloister black font and expanding to the P's size. I also need to add the sound which will be coughing and screaming. I'd like to add little things to the motion to make it better like running motions when they're running from the P and better jumping motions.

Storyboards

I chose to develop this idea further because detail wise this is my favourite idea. I really like the idea of liquid over flowing but I'm unsure as to how I'd get the idea across on flash. I'm looking to create a movie that's attractive and detailed, especially if it's a basic idea like flood.

I like this idea a lot because I feel like it's a bit cheeky and different to the sample's we were shown. Like flood, what I like about it is the detail as I'd have the egg cells moving around to show that they're alive. Also I feel like this is an opportunity for me to add pattens and details into my work because I'm better at patterns and drawing than drawing and creating on the computer.

In my opinion this is my strongest idea and currently the front runner of the lot. I think this is the most original of my ideas and I like how the P font (Cloister Black) fit's perfectly with the word and date of the Plague. I'm thinking of adding dark music and coughing to the P and cries from the LAGUE when it's getting infected.

Brainstorming

Out of these four my favourite would have to be flood. I think I like it the most because the hatch pattern I used to create movement in the water is aesthetically pleasing and it's the least plain out of them all. The only problems i'd have using flood is I currently only have a basic understanding of flash and creating a swishing water effect would be challenging.
My least favourite out of these four is the racism one. Although it could be a really cool movie I don't like way that I've drawn it so it puts me off of the idea.

 

From these four my favourite is plague. I think it is the most interesting idea because of the wide range of options on how the story could be told. I do really like propeller's simplicity also but it's not very original and I'd like to do something that hasn't been done before.
