It took a lot of explaining for everyone to grasp my concept so I'm wondering if I should change it slightly. We were talking about those driving ad's that test whether or not you can focus on two things at once so I wonder if I should change mine to a similar thing
One Idea I got from the feedback was having my participant listen to two stories in each ear at the same time and get them to repeat aloud one of them afterwards. I'm not sure if it's still testing whether not you have a stronger ear or just testing concentration but I think it could work solidly and might be easier to follow than using a drum and beats.
